Background: I started blogging about a year ago as a way to document my life, the kid’s milestones, and share photos with family and friends. Over the course of the year my following grew and opportunities arose to monetize my site. I earned a little under $3,000 in the first 5 months since I started monetizing and grew to over $3,000 in the first quarter of 2017. I should also note that I am currently working full time and blog on the side. You can read all the details on how to get started here.
As I mentioned in last month’s report, I was starting to get major burnout. My goal was to pull back and take a breather….which didn’t quite happen LOL. I’m obsessed with blogging! The ideas are constantly circulating in my mind and seriously, if I had more time this little blog of mine would be bursting at the seams with content! But I do realize it’s not really about quantity, but about delivering quality posts to you all. I want you to keep coming back! So please, if there’s ever anything related to motherhood/parenting or whatever email me and let me know what you want to see!
This month came with my very first tough decision. Two brands with the same exact product came to me wanting to work together. It was a really tough decision I had to make as I certainly wouldn’t try to post conflicts! I value the integrity of this blog and what it delivers. In the end I’m truly happy with my decision and ended up working with the brand I prefer, know, and trust! My outtake: value yourself, trust your judgement, and never settle.
