Halloween Costumes: Oriental Trading Review

Sharing is caring!

I have a love for Oriental Trading. They have everything from party supplies, learning toys, to yep, you guessed it…Halloween costumes! Unlike most things lately, I’m ahead of the game with the kid’s costumes.

When you have 2 little ones that don’t fully understand Halloween and dressing up, you’re still in charge and can pick the costumes! Yay! This year my cuties are going to be Jake and Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates! They both love the show on Disney Jr and I know as long as Isabella’s costume has a pretty princess skirt she’ll be happy. Gabriel has no say yet, but he literally made the cutest little pirate.

Their costumes are really well made and I know will withstand anything these two little pirates set out to do. Gabriel’s pirate costume came complete with the bandana and the belt and sash are attached to the one piece costume. Isabella’s Izzy tutu costume came with a bandana as well and a necklace with pixie dust pouch. She chose not to wear it because…#toddler.

I can’t wait until Halloween so they can dress up again!

We came up with a little Halloween toddler sensory bin for a fun activity. A Pirate’s Booty  Treasure Chest toddler sensory bin! They had a blast digging through the dirt to find jewels!

For the dirt I used brown sugar. I wouldn’t put it past Gabriel to put it in his mouth, so I rather he eat sugar than actual dirt. I then buried some gemstone rings, beaded necklaces, a tiara, and bugs (for Gabriel).

It’s still so hot here in Florida, so obviously they needed some refreshing bloody beverages to cool off after their treasure hunting!

For the blood, I soaked raspberries in water for a few hours. The longer you let them soak, the redder your water will become. Raspberry infused water is a healthier alternative to most juices and they loved it!
